Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy is brief, and is outlined below. It is effective March 23, 2009, and has not yet been updated.

You are required to have an account at Callisto to use certain functions of the site. If you choose to create an account, some information will be stored on our systems. Your user name, email address, and other demographic data are required to gain the full benefit of our service. Please choose a secure password for your account, different from those you use on any other service.

If you choose to participate in our community areas, remember that any information you present becomes public, as it can be viewed by others, with or without logging in first.

We use demographic data, including your zip code if you’ve provided it, when serving advertising on the service. We will not use personally identifiable data for the purpose of advertising unless we receive your consent.

We will not provide your name or contact information to advertisers or partners without your consent.

We will use your email address to send updates about the service and our offerings from time to time. If you choose to opt out of these updates, you will still receive system related email should we need to inform you of important changes or service outages.

Other users will be able to see (in aggregate) the ratings of the shows on our network. Your ratings will remain anonymous. You comments, however, will be associated with your account and will be available for others to see.

If we provide links to other sites, you must agree to the other site’s terms and privacy policy before engaging in business with those sites. We can’t control what other people do with you once you land on their site. Be diligent.

To help facilitate certain features and functionality, we will use cookies to store data. If your browser does not accept cookies, your experience at Callisto may be less than ideal. If a page you visit has ads served by a third party service, they may (and likely will) use cookies to store information about you. This information is usually stored in aggregate and is not personally identifiable. For more information, see the privacy policies of these companies.

Children under the age of 13 are not allowed to register to use the services provided by Callisto, so please don’t try. If you’re between 13 and 17, you must have permission from your legal guardian before registering with Callisto.

This document may change without notification of any kind. To be sure you’re always up to date, check back. The date of the last change will always appear at the top of the document.
